Cryptid File 004C - Bigfoot; Sasquatch

Location: The Pacific Northwest, with related species reported globally

Type: Unknown Hominid

Evidence: Sightings, photographs, films, tracks (showing dermal ridges), hair samples, scat samples, DNA samples, vocalization recordings

My Thoughts: As a child, I believed that the Loch Ness Monster was real and that Bigfoot was not. Ironically, my opinion has completely flipped since then.
Sure, there are a few misidentifications, and hoaxes- a lot of hoaxes. The infamous "wildman" makes up for this, however, with what I consider to be one of the best track records in all of Cryptozoology. Unlike most cryptids, the Sasquatch (I prefer that name over Bigfoot, generally) has quite an impressive arsenal of evidence on it's side.
Fingerprints, DNA, preserved body parts- you name it, we've got it. The amount of hard evidence for this cryptid is surprisingly large, and it's always increasing.
And of course, there's the Patterson Film. Despite decades of hoax-allegations and furious testing, there is still absolutely no proof of a hoaxing, and with each examination, new details are brought up which further solidify the idea that the film is the real deal.

Closing Statements: A pretty believable cryptid to begin with, Sasquatches' case is strengthened by a wide menagerie of convincing evidence, much of which seems impossible or near-impossible to fake. With a feasible territory, food supply, means of evading capture, and evolutionary background, this famous cryptid has a pretty strong case. There is no doubt in my mind that "Bigfoot" is a real species, and I tend to look at it more like a regular animal than a myth or legend. It's a shame that this cryptid isn't taken very seriously by the public, because in my opinion, it's one of the most likely to be proven real in the future.

Awesome! And I very much agree with you. Sasquatch sure has alot of evidence behind him. Its just a matter of time isn't it?

Definitely. I saw a news report recently about a preserved hand in Arizona. Supposedly they did DNA tests on it and they didn't match any known animal, but the bone was apparently denser than that of a human, bear, or gorilla. Dunno if this is legit or not but it sounds pretty interesting, would be cool if it's the real deal.

Sure would! You see the Sasquatch DNA on MonsterQuest? It only had like one difference from human DNA, with a 1 in 5000 chance of being human. And the DNA came from a bed of nails to detour animals. Either Bigfoot or Big Idiot lol.

Yeah, that was a really interesting episode. Love Monster Quest. Do you know if there'll be more episodes any time? I just keep seeing reruns now.

Haha, thanks! I was proud of how miffed he ended up looking, like he's just caught wind of an intruder or something.

very nice. As far as Cyptids go, I believe Sasquatch might be a real one.
