Description

Name: Algazar
Gender: Male
Type: Sea Monster
Alignment: Aggressive
Height: 82 feet
Weight: 220 tons
Biography: Algazar is an aquatic kaiju easily distinguished by the large sail running down his back. He is a carnivore, feeding primarily on fish and other marine animals. As a result, he will often attack large fishing vessels to feed on their cargo. He has also been known to follow ships to shore and attack coastal cities, though this is not a common occurrence.
Algazar is a monster of average speed and strength, but appears much more intimidating due to his tall stature and flashy sail. Coupled with a menacing hiss, Algazar’s appearance is usually enough to scare off other monsters. He will not back down if his threats are ignored, though, and is entirely capable to defending himself.
Armed with powerful, clawed limbs and a mouth full of needle-sharp teeth, he is just as dangerous as more aggressive kaiju. His long, muscular tail (usually used to propel him through the water) is a favored weapon and can strike with enough force to knock another monster off its feet.
While lacking a beam weapon, he is not without ranged weaponry. When in his deep sea habitat, Algazar can take in copious amounts of water through the gill-like openings on his neck. Storing it in a special two-chambered organ at the base of his throat, he can then superheat and pressurize it before releasing it as a breath weapon. The result is a blast of scalding, superheated steam that can reach temperatures upwards of 1000 °F. Though not as flashy as an energy weapon, it is extremely effective and can be used both above and below the waves.
Algazar lives along the Eastern coast of Tarrun.

Trivia: There are a handful of historical records claiming that the village of Deragude in Southern Tarrun was once terrorized by a “mohawked sea monster”. Though Algazar has never been known to travel this far from his territory, descriptions of the high-finned sea monster match him almost perfectly. The only notable difference is that the Deragude beast, according to eyewitness descriptions, had “bright, fiery orange skin”.

Even when its outdated it is still a very excellent simplistic approach to a Kaiju
