Biography: A powerful but benevolent kaiju, Theraga is best known for his partnership with Caitlyn Thorn. The two work together via a supernatural gemstone which allows each to understand the other’s thoughts and emotions, and have defended Allinos from countless threats including other giant monsters and the terrorist organization Syn. While Caitlyn provides inside information, insight, and strategy, Theraga brings pure monster muscle into the equation. Fighting with his powerful forearms and enormous saber teeth, Theraga is a ferocious melee fighter capable of wrestling monsters twice his size to the ground. He is remarkably tenacious, literally fighting until he can no longer move, and is willing to sacrifice his own well being if it means protecting the ones he loves.
Theraga is also very intelligent in his own right, and is fully capable of functioning without Caitlyn’s directions (though both work better when the other is around). He can outsmart his opponents just as easily as he can outlast or overpower them, and is known for exploiting his environment to gain the upper hand in a fight. He is also able to fight at a distance as well as in “claw-to-claw”, firing black spheres of mana energy from his mouth, commonly called “shadow blasts”. He is extremely skilled with these, able to alter their strength and speed to fit different combat situations, and can often turn the tide of battle when facing larger foes by using them.
In addition to this, Theraga is aided by an advanced regenerative factor. His wounds heal much faster than that of a normal creature, and as a result he can survive wounds that would be fatal to most other beings. His senses are equally powerful, giving him extraordinary sight, hearing, and smelling. In fact, he seems to be so well-tuned to his surroundings that most believe he has an unknown sixth sense which alerts him to danger.
However, he is not completely without weaknesses. For all his cunning, he is still very much a wild beast, and sometimes cannot be controlled. Certain primal triggers can set Theraga off, sending him into a feral state where he cannot think, but acts only upon prehistoric instinct. When in this berserker-like state, he cannot distinguish between friend and foe, and often causes more damage than he prevents. Caitlyn believes this is largely because of his savage childhood, growing up in the Goronian Mountains without the guidance and protection of his parents. She does not blame him for his rampages, but the two do work fervently to calm his nerves and prevent the outbursts from happening.

Trivia: When in his berserker mode, Theraga produces large amounts of adrenaline and shuts down the parts of his brain devoted to abstract thought, communication, and long-term memory. While this enhances his senses, strength, and focus, it comes at the cost of his intelligence. Caitlyn cannot reach him while he is in this state, and the grendelstone becomes gray and inactive until he snaps out of it.
